African-American Society

The aim of this club is to serve both the members and the general community: (1) as a clearinghouse for information; (2) as a forum for African-Americans at the college; (3) as an educational vehicle through which the cultural heritage of African-Americans can be transmitted; and (4) as a means of providing members with a detailed familiarization of the African-Americans' contribution to our society.

A student organization that is sponsored and supported by Southern Baptist churches. Students of many different faiths and denominations actively participate. Opportunities for involvement include Noondays, Bible studies, various retreats, and fellowships. All students are welcome and no memberships are required.

Concert Band

Membership is primarily from the ranks of the marching band and is organized after the marching season. The most important goal is to provide both its members and its audience with an experience in quality musical entertainment. Performances are scheduled throughout the year.

The largest performing vocal ensemble on campus with membership open to all interested students. The primary goal of this group is to provide both its members and its audience with quality musical entertainment and education.

National Business fraternity which strives to promote business and the free enterprise system. Provides opportunities for state and national competitions in business related areas. This is the college level of FBLA.

Phi Theta Kappa

This is an International Honor Society which strives to promote scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and serves not only the college, but also the community. Students have the opportunity to enter in regional and international competition in areas of visual arts, literary achievements, music competition, and science projects. To be eligible for membership students must have completed at least 12 credit hours and must have an accumulative grade point average of 3.5. Students who were members of their high school National Honor Society are encouraged to apply for provisional membership.  Selection to membership is made at the opening of each semester.

Organized for the purpose of holding meetings of concern to students in residence halls. Representatives to serve on this council are selected from each residence hall.


Wesley Student Center
Sponsor: Donni Long Located: just across the street from the Admin/Lib Building We are a campus ministry focused on hospitality as a gospel-witnessing practice for God’s mission in the world. We are financially sponsored by the United Methodist of Oklahoma, however we invite and welcome ALL students to come enjoy a home away from home. The center is open daily and there is always something to eat for lunch or a snack during your down time. Activities and programs include evenings for students to study, watch a movie, hang out, play games and worship. Join us for local mission opportunities which are ongoing with our partnering elementary school only two blocks away! Come share your faith and grow with others as we participate in ministry together. If the OPEN sign is on, come on in you are welcome!
